Maureen's School of Dance proudly presents an annual spring recital each year.
2025 Recital Information
OH WHAT FUN 51
FYI - The pandemic had us scaling back our Recitals but we are proud of the fact that we held each classes performances
on stage
at a smaller venue each year.
2020 - 5 days of class by class showcases in August
2021 - 6 days of showcases by groupings in May
2022 - 4 days of showcases (like 4 mini recitals) in May
Then finally, our return to a local high school's auditorium.
2023 - 2 BIG SHOW Recitals
2024 - 2 BIG SHOWS with all the bells and whistles for our 50th YEAR
2025 - is being planned
We hold 2 - 3 different Dance Recitals in the Springtime:
Most students will be in one recital or the other, but a few students may be in both recitals.
"Which Recital Am I In?” will be handed to a Parent along with your Dancer's Promotion Code
Check out your MAUREEN’S SCHOOL OF DANCE CALENDAR (given in your registration packet, along with a more detailed recital prep dates handed out in February) for parent participation days and due dates:
- Recital Costume Payment & TRY-ON INFO (see below)
- Recital Fee Due 1st Saturday in April (this payment can be split in 3 installments in Feb, March & April)
- Recital Extras (1 popular example is Ads in the Yearbook - more info below)
- Picture Week late April, early May - a female adult attend class alongside dancer
- Open Rehearsal during our Last Lesson at the studio during your regular class time - a parent is welcome to sit in

Lesson account must be paid in full by the 1st Saturday in May in order to participate in Recital Weekend
During Recital Weekend, there is a Mandatory Dress Rehearsal for all performers and Dance Recital numbers
(except those routine's that competed twice during the year).
Participation with your group at dress rehearsal on stage is MANDATORY in order to participate on stage on recital day!
To purchase Recital Tickets at the cheapest rate we sold tickets thru this site:
www.tututix.com/maureens
Parents should come in to sign for student's voucher information starting in March. Each performer will receive ONE promotion code for ONE ticket for $1 to the Recital they are in. This promotion code can ONLY be used On-Line thru TuTuTix.
We strongly encourage you to purchase tickets on-line, since seating is reserved. If you'd like to sit together, you must purchase tickets together. Everyone entering the school - including the performer - must have a ticket for the seat they occupy (except those under 2 years old sitting on your lap).
Tickets that do not sell On-Line will be available for purchase at the High School on Recital Weekend, but will be full price. Keep in mind the student's voucher CAN ONLY be used On-Line, so their ticket will also be full price at the door.
TO BE FAIR TO ALL PERFORMERS:
Students are not allowed to perform in the recital if:
They miss any amount of time over 8 times
during the year in one class
(not counting scheduled holidays or days when we are closed for inclement weather).
They don't rehearse their number on stage with their class during their scheduled Dress Rehearsal.
Their lesson account is not paid in full by the last Saturday in April.
2025 Recital Costumes and other expenses
DEADLINE FOR ALL DANCE RECITAL COSTUME PAYMENTS IS DECEMBER 5th.
Each student in the Dance Recital is required to purchase a costume for each number they perform in.
To make it easier for parents, we order everything they need for the Dance Recital (except dance shoes, which are listed on your dress code given at the beginning of the year) including costumes, headpieces, tights, most props (unless otherwise noted), and their Souvenir Recital T-Shirt, which is part of their Recital Uniform.
All costumes must be paid in full on or before the deadline to be ordered. Costumes will be needed for Recital Pictures, Dress Rehearsal(s) and the Dance Recital(s). Costume payments may be made with cash, check or credit cards - Visa, Master Card or Discover or by Auto Pay.
We’ll gladly take costume payments in installments ahead of time as long as the balance is paid in full on or before the deadline. If you'd like to split this up into smaller payments, Michelle can add to your Oct, Nov & Dec lesson payments, but all must be paid by the 1st Saturday in December. If you want your costume payment taken from your Auto Pay Account, either initial the box on your Auto-Pay form or see Michelle by the Tuesday before Thanksgiving Break.
Costume Try-On Days March thru April - mom (or other responsible female adult who will be helping them backstage) should attend class alongside dancer (under the age of 16)
